Here is a really quick and easy way to dress up a board for wall hooks.
I used a piece of leftover baseboard trim we had from our house. Any piece of wood about 1″x3″ or 1″x4″ would work. Cut a piece of fabric large enough to wrap around the board and overlap in the back.
Wrap the ends over first and staple.
Then wrap the top and bottom, as if you were wrapping a present. Staple securely.
Turn the board over, mark where you want to put your hooks. I pre-drilled the holes for all the screws so the fabric wouldn’t tear. Use 3/4″ screws for the hooks, and longer (1 1/2″) screws to attach the board to the wall.
