Since I live on an island off the coast of BC, getting large bolts of fabric delivered can sometimes be very expensive. Last year I discovered that having them shipped to Seattle, Washington, and then brought across by ferry to Victoria, BC, was the way to go. I live about 1 1/2 hours from Victoria, so about every 2 months I drive there to pick up more fabric. It’s a great excuse to shop! Victoria is a beautiful city and the number of “green” shops there has really grown in the last few years. Here are two that I visited last week:
Located on Johnson St, between Wharf and Government, this store is centrally located and easy to find. They have men’s and women’s clothing, as well as some jewelry, shoes, and even make up. They also have a organic clothing consignment section.
I found a really cute dress made of bamboo, perfect for the Spring! I can’t wait for the weather to get a little warmer, so I can wear it!
2. Not Just Pretty – modern organic clothing. This store is a little further away from downtown, on Fort St, but well worth a visit. The clothes, shoes and purses were some of the most modern, beautiful styles I’ve seen! Everything is also for sale on their website – have a look!
Victoria is one of the my favorite city. The biggest stores available in this city but this store is excellent and everything is available in this store. In this store many type of cloths available as well as good quality.
