This Fall brings us some neutral favorites as well as some new bold, beautiful colours.
The popularity of brown, pale blue, sage green, coral red, turquoise and bright yellow that we have seen in the first part of the year will continue.
But the big addition for Fall is Purple!
Pantone lists purple orchid and chocolate truffle as two of the hottest colours in the Fall lineup.
Along with these are dusty rose, lipstick red, oyster grey, endive and golden orange.
Use purple orchid with endive for a daring, modern combination. Great for a bathroom, purple works well with greys, pewter, nickel and creams.
If red is your colour, here is your chance to add some passionate punch to a room. Just don’t overdue it! An upholstered chair or a painted bench might be all that is needed. Use red with white and earth tones for a traditional look, or with endive for a retro feel.
Grey is a very versatile colour. It is soft, elegant and sophisticated. It works well in bathrooms, bedrooms and livingrooms. Accent it with a warm colour like dusty rose, red or coral to keep the room from feeling cold.
Green is always a safe choice for home decor. Paired with creams and taupes it is natural and restful. Pair it with pale blue for a more contemporary look.
