I am going to start giving you regular updates on some of the best eco-friendly fabrics out there!
The number of suppliers is constantly growing (thank goodness) and many of these fabrics are available to purchase online with no minimum cuts (you can buy small amounts).
When choosing organic fabric, you are contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

So, if you are looking for a fabulous fabric for your next DIY project, check back often!  I will also be giving some ideas of how to use these fabrics.
So, here is the FIRST list:
1.  Just found this Canadian Company!  They have marked down these upholstery weight
100% certified organic American grown cotton fabrics to $12.50/yard – a fantastic price!  There are 10 colours/prints to choose from
2.  This company is located in California.  They have a good selection of hemp, soy  and linen fabrics.
3. This company is located in B.C., Canada (the same province that I live in!).  They will custom dye their hemp and hemp blend fabrics in a variety of colors.  All of their dying is done by hand using biodegradable soaps and keeping water usage to a minimum.  All fabric is hung to dry.
4.This company is located in New Jersey.    They supply a wide variety of printed organic cottons to the quilt and craft market.  Their swatch sets can be purchased for $4 each.
I also have a few fabrics available in my shop.  Currently there is a beautiful dark chocolate brown hemp with herringbone pattern.  It is a heavy weight – suitable for pillows, bedskirts, bench cushions, jackets, and slipcovers. chocolate brown hemp
I also have a hemp/cotton medium weight fabric in sage green.  sage green hemp/cotton
Have fun searching for the perfect organic fabric!  Of course, you can always look at your local thrift store for  gently used sheets, tablecloths and fabrics – a budget-friendly way to make your own curtains, tablecloths, napkins and pillows.
