Quirky planters and succulents are a big trend right now – have fun with this trend by creating your own combinations of pots and plants!
3. Bright colours and floral prints – bold colours are popping up everywhere!

4. Chalky white and bone white – classic and beautiful – create a collection of white vases and containers of different sizes and shapes on a table, shelf or mantle for instant summer decor. Fill them with single flower stems for added interest.

Like the decor using green – the room with the gorgeous picture over the fireplace and the mix of greens is very nice. But it would be easy to overdo green, especially the really bright tones!

Hi Sheila. I agree. Soft greens are very soothing, but bright yellow/greens are energizing and could easily overwhelm a room, I like it when bright colours are used as an accent in toss cushions or accessories, Notice how in the second livingroom photo the walls are a neutral colour, letting the colours in the furniture and pillows really pop.
I love that colorful living room. We’ve been having a plain black, white and grey theme in our living room for the past year and I’m planning to redecorate. I will go for a colorful theme this time for a change and this post gave me an idea. Thank you for posting this!
