I get asked this question a lot. Here are some guidelines that will help you choose the right size tablecloth for your table:
1. Measure your table. If it is square or rectangular measure the width and the length. If it is round, measure the diameter.
2. As a general rule, you will want at least 8″ of overhang. So, if your table is 54″ x 74″, your tablecloth should be at least 70″ x 90″. If it is 54″ in diameter for a round table, your tablecloth should be at least 70″.
Here is a list of some common size tables, and the tablecloth size you should buy:
54 x 74 = 70 x 90
54 x 92 = 70 x 108
54 x 110 = 70 x 126
54 x 128 = 70 x 144
54 x 146 = 70 x 162
54 x 164 = 70 x 180
38 square – 54 square
54 square = 70 square
64 square = 80 square
74 square = 90 square
54 round = 70 round
74 round = 90 round
94 round = 110 round
104 round = 120 round
116 round = 132 round
