I am going to show you how to make a simple, clay cleansing mask.

During a recent 50% off sale at a natural foods grocery store I picked up some Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. It is 100% natural calcium bentonite clay and can  be used as a deep pore cleansing mask! I have had great success using this product  in this way, once a week.   The instructions below are also found on the product itself.  That said, it can also be used for body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks, knee packs, acne and insect bites! The product is sun dried, not tested on animals, contains no animal ingredients and no fragrances. It’s a great product for men to use as well!

Ingredients:
Indian Healing Clay
Apple cider vinegar
Water (optional)

Step One:
Mix together equal parts of apple cider vinegar and Indian Healing Clay. I used 2 tbsp of each. You can also use water instead of (or with) the apple cider vinegar.

Step two:
Mix together until a thick paste forms. It should look like clay! Add more liquid or powder if needed.

Step Three:
Apply the  mixture to your face about 1/4 – 1/2″ thick.  For sensitive skin, leave it on for 5-10 min. For normal skin, leave it on for 15-20 min.

As it sits on your skin, it will dry and you will feel a strong tightening sensation!

Step Four:
Wash off the mask. I find it easiest to remove in the shower. If you use a sink, I’d recommend using a wash cloth to help you remove it as it’s quite thick!  It’s normal to experience some redness in your skin afterwards but it should fade within 30 minutes.
