I found this very funky, old laundry hamper at a Thrift store.  It had a handle missing, so the owner gave it to me for free!

I removed the remaining handle.
I dug thru my fabric stash, found some great blue and brown upholstery fabric left over from a job, and some white gimp that I just happened to have just enough of (I love it when that happens).

I removed the lid (2 screws) and the metal trim.  I cut my fabric to size, sprayed it with adhesive and starting at the back carefully wrapped it around the hamper.  I then used Tacky fabric glue to glue some nice white gimp to the top and bottom. I cut another piece of fabric around 3″ larger than the lid and serged the edges.  I used the spray adhesive again and carefully covered the lid.
In about an hour I had a new hamper, perfect for my bathroom!
