I think Advent Calendars are such a great idea. While I do have fond memories of the chocolate cardboard ones you can pick up just about anywhere, I have much fonder memories of the DIY one my mom made my sisters and I. It was made of felt with a pocket for each day, large enough to hold a candy or mini lip balm. I think these homemade Advent Calendars are great because you can be so much more creative and personal!
